Olivia C. writes the following about The Hobbit :
The Hobbit, by J. R. R. Tolkien is a fascinating book. It is a prequel to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and should be read beforehand. It tells the tale of Bilbo the 'hobbit', who is asked to come on a mysterious and dangerous journey. Tolkien is a remarkable writer who will capture your interest with detailed descriptions of places and people. This is a wonderful way to spend your time. Some of the reading can be difficult so a child should probably be about eleven to read it and understand the full meaning. I rated this novel at nine point five because I have thoroughly enjoyed it but I have read a few books that I treasure more. At any rate, this book should be read.
