The characters in the book Mick Harte was here are Mick, mom, dad, and Phoebe the sister to Mick and Mick’s dog Wocket. I will tell you right off the bat that Phoebe’s brother Mick died from a bike accident. And he was not wearing a helmet. There was not a scratch on him. It was a head injury.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked how the grandma helped the family come together. She gives you some good ideas of what to do when your family is depressed about a person dying. I think you should read this book because it shows compassion. Or if you just lost a person in your family this book will give two good ideas. For example Phoebe wrote her brothers name in the cement after her ball practice.
