D.K. writes the following about Secret Agent Y.OU :
Are you going to become a Secret Agent? Or are you going to become a Young Operative Undercover. Then you will need the code book! Secret agent Y.O.U is the one and only code book needed to encode, decode and learn the basic rules about spying on anyone who annoys you. You have to pass an entry test and learn how to talk the talk. And you have to figure out who is who and does what. Then you will have to pass all the tests of speed, reaction, complicated running patterns, and stealing a radioactive diamond. Once you have passed the tests you are awarded with a fact file. Then you are taught the art of disguise, a legend to save yourself in case someone asks about what is your life story, and a codename for talking without anyone knowing your real name. And the book gives you instructions on how to make fake blood, bruises, warts and moles. “Those are for the disguise kit” as the book says. After all the disguise stuff you are awarded with another fact file. Then you are faced with another group of tests. You must assess and predict things, look for many patterns in a persons daily activities, figure out who is a liar and do your best with your memory. And the book gives you a handy tip on special lenses which allow you to see in front and behind you. After that training you are given a fact file for your hard work. Then you move into cryptology and codes. You then learn about the reverse alphabet code, the Caesar code, the Greek box code, the rail fence code, the date shift code and the yellow brick road code. Then for deciphering the codes you are given a fact file. After the codes then you have to learn how to know who is your friend or foe. You have to learn a codeword, a handshake, a coded signal, how to pass messages, secret hidden messages, and how to do secret messages encoded into normal messages. You are awarded with a fact file and now you are a SECRET AGENT!
