Joe writes the following about Egg-Drop Blues :
Egg Drop Blues By Jacqueline Turner Banks Review by Joe Have you ever had the feeling that when you read all of the words are upside down and backwards? Well a boy named Judge has this feeling, it’s actually not a feeling it’s a mind problem, it’s called dyslexia, his mother wants to send him to a new school but he doesn’t want to leave because his best friends are there such as the posse. In the posse there is 5 total people Jury, Judge, Angela, Tommy, and Faye. His brother Jury is a good student just doesn’t care about anything school related, for example his grades are good but he doesn’t care about them, when the teachers tell him to study he doesn’t study but still gets a good grade on a test. In the story Judge and Jury’s mother made them a deal to both boys and told them both to transfer to a new school but they both don’t want to and again they don’t want to leave there posse. There is one last test they need to take called the egg drop, it will determine if they stay in the school or they leave the school and go to another one. I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 rating because of its mysterious scenes, and in some spots in the book you can visualize thing very good. For example, when Judge and Jury and their mom are talking about transferring to a whole new school. I can also picture Judge worrying about his grades and not getting in trouble and I can picture Jury not caring about grades and getting in trouble. If anyone reads EGG DROP BLUES I guaranty you will love this book.
