neno writes the following about Blood is Thicker :

Have you ever had a family member that you always used to play with when you were little, but then you moved and you didn’t talk to him that much any more. Well this story is about a teenager named Hakeem who lives in California until his dad gets cancer and they have to move to Detroit with their family members Aunt Lorraine, Uncle James, and Cousin Savon. While they’re in Detroit Savon and Hakeem don’t get along that well and turns up that they got into a fight and everyone thinks Savon is up to no good. The next night Hakeem saw Savon come through the bedroom window and put a big rubber band full of money in his desk. So he thinks that Savon is robbing stores after his uncle tells him somebody’s Store got robbed and the police don’t know who it is. Who do you think he suspects? Does Savon rob the stores? Does his dad die because of his cancer? You’ll have to read the book to find out

I think this book is a good connection to teenage problems. I recommend this book to any one who likes reading about teenagers. This book is a suspenseful page turner that you will not forget. I give this book four out of five stars for its connection to today’s teenagers
