julie writes the following about The Cybil War :
Imagine that you have a best friend that likes the same person in your school that you like. What would you do? Will you start a fight with them or just let your friend get the loveable person? Like the book I’m about to tell you about called the Cybil war. Well this story is about love, and a friendship between two best friends named Tony Angotti and Simon who like Miss Cybil Ackerman the prettiest girl in the class of fifth grade to Simon and Tony. Simon is a thoughtful person but Tony makes it seem Simon is a rude and talking back person who Tony is and Simon isn’t. My opinion for this book is that it is very exciting and keeps me wondering. If you want to read more books by Betsy Byars there is Tarot says beware , good bye chicken little, or the 2000 pound goldfish. I would give this book a 10 out of 10 and its illustration a 8 out of ten be cause it gave away to much of the story. All in all I think the Cybil war is a magnificent book to read. I hope that this review has inspired you to read this exciting book. Thank you for reading this review.
