Harry Potter and the half-blood prince is the sixth novel in the wonderful series of Harry Potter. Recently, in the last book Harry’s godfather Sirius Black was murdered by an evil witch. Harry was so devastated by the past events that it was hard for him to stay focused. Although, the 6th book of the series sets at Hogwartz. Harry’s start of the year wasn’t the best. He had a lot of pressure already with Voldemort and more and more crisis’s were bothering him too. Recently Harry had gotten his nose broken trying to eaves drop on Malfoy. With all this business going on, Harry was scheduled private lessons with Albus Dumbledore, the head master of Hogwartz. As Harry continued to arrive at Dumbledore’s lessons, Dumbledore showed Harry memories of Voldemort’s past and how he lead up to be who he is now. Harry took notice that Voldemort was always more of an individual person who focused on himself and not anyone else. Although, there was something special about Voldemort. His memories showed that he was a very smart and confident young wizard. When one day Dumbledore showed Harry a memory of Voldemort in which one of the professors at Hogwartz was questioned by Tom Riddle (Voldemort). When everyone had left the classroom, Tom approached the teacher and asked if he knew anything about Horocrux’s. The teacher was a little nervous about this situation and finally came to a decision to give Tom a bit of information. He told Tom that horocrux’s were objects in which someone would put a piece of their life in it. Therefore to kill the person you would have to kill their horocrux first. At present time, Harry was told that Voldemort had 7 horocrux’s. After many days of school Harry arrived in Dumbledore’s office and found that Dumbledore was in a very serious mood. He asked Harry if he wanted to come with him to go destroy a horocrux in which he thought one was hidden. Harry agreed and they set off. When they arrived at the place it was a large cave. It was long and had many obstacles. When finally they came to the last challenge. It was some odd potion. Dumbledore began drinking and then pain came and Dumbledore began to fight the pain. When they finally got back, Hogwartz had been attacked by the death eaters. Dumbledore was in pain and couldn’t help. When suddenly Snape appeared out of know where and shot Dumbledore with a killing curse. Harry was left with him self and his friends. I would rate this book a 10 out of 10 because it gave great excitement and some great twists that wanted me to read more. I would never change anything about this book. It’s great!
