Mason44 writes the following about The Lightning Theif :
Percy Jackson the main character is a real trouble maker and has been kicked out many schools. But later finds out that he is the son and half blood of a powerful Greek God. (A half blood is a half god half human or demigod). Another thing about demigods is that they attract monsters, I forgot to mention that and because of that they have to go to a camp that monsters can’t go in and they stay there and learn how to fight monsters. Rarely demigods get quests but when they do then are sent out to find something or rescue somebody. In this book Percy and his side kicks the other main characters Grover and Ana Beth embark on a quest to save Zeus’s lightning bolt in the underworld on the way the encounter many other gods that help them and many mythalical monsters.

On a scale of 1-10 I would give this book a 9 because it’s full of action, Suspense, and Surprises. What I would change about the book is that I would want the beginning to be less boring. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Greek mythology because it includes almost every god and monster. I can’t wait to read the 2 , 3, and 4 books in this great series.
