Syndie writes the following about Tears of a Tiger :
“Tears of a Tiger” is a Coretta Scott King award winning book by Sharon M. Draper. One-hundred and eighty pages of pure excellence and intensity. I read this at least over four times, just to enjoy the great unpredictable words read throughout the whole book. Between a devastating car accident and the loss of a friend, “Tears of a Tiger” shows the emotions of one boy. Andrew Jackson. Between him being blamed for the death of his friend, and him not feeling like there is anyone in the world that understands him. “Tears of a Tiger” shows heart and happiness, and keeps you hooked. Whether the genre of realistic fiction isn’t your thing, the many hard times within “Tears of a Tiger” will get you into realistic fiction. I give this book a complete ten. Probably because although it maybe fiction, the things that happen in the book are actually realistic! No unrealistic events, stuff that would never happen. But actual possibilities you put yourself in the characters shoes and really enjoy, “Tears of a Tiger”.
