ali22 writes the following about Among the Betrayed :
The book I read is called Among the Betrayed. It was written by Margaret Peterson Haddix and is 156 pages long. The genre of this book is science fiction. Among the Betrayed is about a girl named Nina who is an illegal third child. Nina is in jail at the time after being betrayed by her friend Jason. While in jail, Nina is told by a population policeman to trick three other children that are in jail, named Matthias, Percy, and Alia, into telling her that they are third children too. Nina and the other three children end up escaping from jail and later on see some familiar faces and also some faces they hope never to see again. I gave this book the rating of an 8 because it was like a mystery which made me want to keep reading and reading it.
