:)MEGAN writes the following about perfect :
Perfect is a 172 page realistic fiction book by Natasha Friend. It is about a 13 year old girl named Isabelle Lee who has just got caught by her little sister April (AKA Ape Face) forcing herself to throw up. As part of the "deal" Isabelle now how to go to group every Wednesday. She finds that Ashley Barnum, the most popular girl in the entire school, who Isabelle thinks is absolutely perfect shares her eating disorder. The two form a friendship that revolves around there little secret and Ashley moves her up the social ladder. Isabelle still has problems though, not only does she have to go to group therapy still but her dad died, and her mom is deeply depressed and in denial. She soon learns that Ashley's world is not so perfect after all, and this combined with therapy sessions puts her on the road to recovery. I would give this book a 9 out of 10 because I absolutely loved it. I really liked how the author wrote about something so realistic. It was a real page turner and hard for me to put down. One thing I would change though, is a little bit of Ashley's personality. She seemed very unwilling to change her bad habit. Overall this book was great and I would really recommend it.
