Metin Kural writes the following about Young Indiana Jones and the Secret City :
My book is about Indiana(Indy) Jones, his father, and his friend Herman going on a trip to visit Turkey. When they leave Constantinople, they go to Kenya. While in Kenya, Indy and Herman were captured and taken away. They escaped to a secret underground city where the king wants to kill them. They try to escape with the Count who is Rostov but he betrays them. The reason King Zed and Rostov want to kill Indy and Herman is complicated. King Zed and Rostov want their blood so they can rule over Turkey and Russia with the knife of Cain. You see when innocent blood is given to the knife, it gains power for 100 years. If you have the knife while it has it's power, nothing can stop it.

I liked this book alot because it has action, adventure, and a little mystery. I would recommend this book for seventh graders because it is suspenseful and the students would want to keep reading it. I think the theme of the story is that it is trying to tell you that if you are curious, you find your answers or what you are looking for or trying to find.
