Miguel writes the following about Freak the Mighty :
Have you ever had a friend that went almost everywhere with you and always had your back? Well 15 year old Max has a friend like that and his name is Kevin (Freak). This book brings together the most unlikely pair of friends, six foot tall obtuse Max and two foot tall genius, Freak. In this book you would never expect people who are the total opposite of each other to become friends, but they do and so they become Freak the Mighty. Watch the story fill you up with excitement as Freak the Mighty takes you on adventures, such as being chased by, gang leader Blade. But, just when you begin to think that Blade is bad, Max finds out his dad (Killer Kane), has escaped.
I would give Freak the Mighty five out of five stars because the first few adventures with Blade, Freak’s imagination, and their troubles with Killer Kane that keep you excited. The author did a great job grabbing the reader’s attention and crafting a wonderful story, with the creative language that was used, vivid descriptions that help you picture every scene and everything that goes on, and make you want to keep on reading. If you like suspenseful and imaginative books then you should read Freak the Mighty.
