Baseball1 writes the following about Hoot :
Hoot is a 292 page realistic fiction novel. The main characters are Roy Eberhardt, Mullet Fingers, and Beatrice. These three friends live in Florida and don’t meet each other for a while. Roy has just moved to Florida when he meets Mullet Fingers (a very strange boy). Beatrice is Mullet Fingers big sister. Anyway, Mother Paula’s Pancake House is up for construction and the three friends try to stop it because there are little Burrow owls living in the area. They pull many pranks and when they finally get caught, they tell the people to stop the construction. I rated this book a 10 out of 10 because it kept me always wanting to turn the page because of the adventures that these kids went through. Something that I would change about this book is, I would not let Roy get beat up so much because he is the new kid.
