Tofu writes the following about The Not -Just- Anybody Family :
Junior Blossom ties wings to his arms, again. But when the cops come, he has to do something risky. He called for his brother, Vern, and his sister, Maggie, but they won't come. So he jumps for it. he ends up in the hospital with a roomate, Ralphie, that's always playing practicale jokes. While Juinor's grandfather, Pap, is in jail it's up to Vern and Maggie to free him.

The Not-Just-Anybody family, I felt, was too rushed. There wasn't any detail either. There was zippo action. Besty Byars made the characters seem unreal. Because nobody ever breaks into jail. Or jumps off a barn with wings. It was boring because of the no action part. Besty Byars isn't the best children's author.
