The Squirrel mother stories by Megan Kelso has many different small graphic novels. My favorite of them all was "meow Face." It took me a while to find out what the story meant. The "squirrel mother" was about a child who always asked her mother question, but her mother always changed the subject. "Nettie's left-hand-flute" was about a child who always asked her mother questions, but her mother would change the subject. "River was one of the best also, it was about a girl would worked at a restaurant and was always worried about the Green River Killer who would raped and murder at least forty-eight girls. People found the bodies everywhere on highways, roads, and hills. The girl who worked at the restaurant wanted to see him hang. Finally after twenty one years after the first girl was found dead, someone had pleaded guilty to forty-eight of the murders. "Bills was about a girl and her father who lived together. The father was always paying bills and the he always asked his daughter if she cleaned her room. And she would blame it on her stuffed teddy bear why her room was a junk. So she figured that her room was clean when she tied up her teddy bear and hanged it from something in her room. So when her and her father would go walk and pay the bills he would ask her if her room was clean and she would reply "yup." On the beautiful blue Danube" was about a girl who had to learn a dance for school. She didn't know how to dance but her mother did. Her mother was teaching her the dance steps. While practicing with her friend from school her mother started dancing and singing which made her mad because she couldn't remember the steps that her mom had taught her.
