The graphic novel, by Terry West is about a teenage girl vampire. Her name is Lily Jordan, and no she was not always a vampire. An enemy of hers turned her into a vampire so she could struggle with a terrifying life just like her enemy had as a vampire. She had extraordinary powers and was much more powerful than her other classmates. But sometimes she would get terrible cravings in the middle of the night if she forgot to take a potion her friend made her. She decides to throw a Halloween party. She invites everyone. Everyone gets so excited and talks about the costumes they will be wearing. Lily becomes scared because she thinks about all the things that could possibly go wrong. Then she remembers her enemies, Sang and Rosie, the vampires that turned her into one. She freaks out wondering if they will show up. Her butler and her mom go to there own Halloween party so he gets his nephew to watch over Lily. Talbot, the butler's nephew has a secret that Lily soon finds out. Lily throws the party hoping her enemies will not crash it. I think the graphic novel is wonderful. It's great for those who do not like to read so much and the graphics really help to understand the story. I rated the book a 9 because I felt that it could be a little more detailed. I rated the illustrations a 10 because they help along with the story. The only thing I did not like about the book was trying to figure out what box of words to read first, since they are all over the page.
