PopPrincess78 writes the following about The Tale of Despereaux :
The book was easy for me to follow. It was very exciting and funny at the same time. The characters were realistic by the actions. But Princess Pea and Despereaux is a mouse or rat. The writer (Kate DiCamillo) wrote this book very well. The book was unbelievable because of the talking animals. But the book was unbelievibley good. This story takes place in a castel with Despereaux, Princess Pea, and others you will find. Despereaux gets sent to the dungen for letting a human touch him. He meets some rats and people on his jouney on getting back upstairs to the light. Meanwhile there's a girl named Mig who was traded. Princess Pea, Mig and Despereaux all have something in coman.
