PAUL THOMAS writes the following about TRACKER :
This book is about boy who is my age and his name is John Borne. John lives with his grandparents on a dairy farm because his mom and dad died when he was younger. John has many chores that he has to do before school every day like haul cow manure. one day while doing his chores he sees a doe that stops and looks right at him and doesn't run away. This is not normally what happens, the dear usually run away especially when it is hunting season. John and his grandpa go hunting every year but this year John will have to go by himself beacuse his grandpa has cancer and can't go anymore. While hunting John see the same dear and he starts tracking it through the woods and snows for twos days and one night, but he can not shoot it like his grandpa would like him to. What do you think he does? Does he kill the dear and bring home the meat to his grandparents? I guess you will have to read the book to find out. I loved this book! If you like to hunt you will like this book. I also liked this book because the main character is almost the same age as me and I could see myself as him. This book was a book I couldn't put down because you wanted to keep reading to see what was going to happen next.
