A twelve-year-old boy named Gary Boone was a real jokester. Everything Gary said was a joke. Gary was practically born to be a comedian. Gary always wanted to win the school’s talent show. But the one thing that was stopping him were his class mates that just didn’t find his jokes funny at all. Gary Boone is so busy making jokes in class that he doesn't notice that none of his students are laughing. They all just thought he was a great big goon. One of the main reasons that gary wants to join the talent show is because he think that he will become more popular.
• Rising action:
• Gary’s best friend Angeline moves away and goes to a new school so Gary is stuck without friends.
• He enters the talent show to get friends.
• Angeline calls Gary and tells Gary don’t enter the talent show because she sense that something bad will happen. Gary doesn’t want to believe what Angeline said but he hi scared.

A boy named Gary Boone likes to make up jokes but no one thinks it’s funny but this girl named Angeline. The main reason why he liked her was because she didn’t think he was a goon like the rest of kids. She actually laughed at his jokes. Angeline really likes Gary but at the last moment she has to go to another school. He misses her so much so he decieds to sign up for the talent show. Gary is on the flag football team and he is really horrible.
Gary makes a touchdown and everybody thinks he was hiding out from them along. But before that he promised his parents that he would not tell a joke for $100.
