Matthew writes the following about History of Sports: Football :
The book History of Sports: Football deserves at least a nine rating. It was very interesting and was very informing. It tells the story about how football evolved through the years. It started out of a mix between soccer and rugby and then people changed little things until it became the football we know today. It started in college sports then people started getting paid to play, which made a professional sport. The book tells you how the all the teams in the NFL joined and who was the best a long time ago. It talks about the best and most significant players. This book was really good. It had many strengths. It taught me a lot about the sport and how it came to be. It told me about important people in the sport, and what they did to help or hurt it. It went very in depth. It had a lot of details to support it's opinions and inform the reader. Sometimes it went in to too much detail, so it got a little boring. That was it's only weakness. It had very good illustrations. There were many good pictures of people and of old formations. It showed pictures of the equipment and it evolved over the years. This book was very good and I learned a lot about the sport of football and it's history.
