ricky bailey writes the following about Flags of Our Fathers :
flags of our fathers by james bradley is a great story based on the battle of iwo jima during world war 2. iwo jima was the most deadly and costly battle in the pacific during world war 2. it was the only battle were we had more casulties and the enemy. flags of our fathers is about the 6 men who raised the flag at iwo jima, their lifes, actions and triumphs. these 6 men were a insperation to everyone on iwo jima. because of these men the battle that went on for 30 days afterwords would have been lost. these men gave everything and fought for their country with dedication and honor. they helped give insperation to thousands of marines on iwo jima that day. this book gives great details and lets you know everything you want to know about the 6 flag raisers and even what went on during the battle. from their births to their deaths. from when they first landed on iwo jima to when they died or got wounded their. this book is one of the best books i have ever read about world war 2. i would recommend this book to anyone who asked me aslong as their 13 years of age or older. this book is to graphic for most children and should only be read by mature audiences due to its graphic nature. even with that being said i still think its a fantastic story.
