Jay writes the following about Bud, Not Buddy :

The book I was reading was Bud,_Not Buddy. This book took place in the Great Depression,In Flint Michigan. Bud,_Not Buddy is about Bud,a ten year old boy that lost his mother four years ago, Bud was put in a foster home where he got into many fights with the foster parents son. So Bud escaped the foster home to look for his dad. Along the way Bud found his best friend name Joey,from the orphanage. Joey and Bud both went to foster homes and they both ecaped. Bud lost Joey by not jumping on a train on time that was going west to his father in Grand Rapides Michigan. So Bud is tring to find another way into Grant Rapides. I gave this book a rating of ten because it had a very good vocab and humor. Another reason I gave the Book Bud,_Not Buddy a ten is it had a very good conflict and resolution. I recommend this book to boys 10-14 because the main character is ten years old. If you like a book with humor,and that has an intersting ending Bud,_Not Buddy is the book for you
