In my book Pictures of Hollis Woods, Hollis is a foster child who is an artist. She is twelve years old and she is struggling to kiip track of everything such as how to take care of herself. Also, she has been to so many foster homes that she can hardly remember them all. Her new foster mother, Josie, is an elderly artist who is pretty and very talented, but she is growing forgetful every day. Then, her foster counselor finds her a new family and she wants Hollis not to live with Josie anymore. But, Hollis has a plan to go to her old foster house with Josie to excaper from her foster counselor's plan.
My rating for this book would be a four and a half because some parts were boring like "I dashed outside to run and play with Steven," said Hollis. But some parts were exciting like when Hollis's foster counselor finds her a new family and wants her to move again. Also, because when she was packing up to go on a trip before her foster couselor sends her to her new family. The other boring part is when Hollis was telling about her summers with the Reagens, her foster family.
I think the audience of this book would be 11 to 14 years old. I don't think 10 year olds would like it because this book had some strong vocabulary like Hollis is a mountain of trouble. Also, it would be hard to understand the content of this book, like when she is talking about artists and about Alzheimers that Josie has. It should be for 12 year olds because they can actually understand the vocabulary and the content of this book. This book would be good for 14 year olds because they could definitely understand this book.
