Jake writes the following about House of the Scorpion :
The book, The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer is science fiction.
I give this book a 5 star rating because it expands my view of sci-fi books and it caught my attention, all of it.
I think this book is target twoard teens because it's plot and use of somewords wouldn't make sense to a reader that is younger.

This book is about a clone named Matt, He is the clone of Matteo Alcran,(El Patron) a vicious drug lord. He is ignored and not cared for, that is, when El Patron is around. When Matt discovered why El Patron cloned him, Matt has to escape the ALcran Estate for survival.

I think The House of the Scopion is a really awesome book. When my teacher said we were going to read newbery books, I thought it was going to be a drag, but, it turned out to be a great book for me and I didn't really care for Sci-fi books! If you like sci-fi's and a good adventure, you should read house of the scorpion.
