Grant writes the following about Crispin :
Crispin The Cross Of Lead was a tremendous book.I would give this book a 9 out of 10 because, it was really exciting and I liked how everything started to fall into place at the end.The author of this book was Avi.The book is a historical fiction book. Kids that would like this book are kids that like adventure and that little bit of a scare. At the beginning of the book Crispin's mom dies and his dad has been dead for a while. Right before his mom dies she hands him a cross of lead. There is some writing on it but, Crispin can't read though. He is later claimed a wolf's head for the death of the priest. Crispin then flees tghe town. He meets a man named bear who is a performer. Crispin shows Bear the cross and asks him to read it . Bear does not tell Crispin what it says. At one of the towns Crispin and Bear performed, Bear was captured and taken prisoner by the king Crispin has to save him. My favorite character waS Crispin because, he didn't leave Bear to die.I wouldn't change anything about this book. If you read this book you won't be disapointed.
