"It's Like This, Cat" was a really great book! I would give this realistic fiction book written by Emily Neville a five out of five because I like cats and the cat in the story brought happiness to some people. It would be an interesting book for girls and boys from the ages ten through fourteen, who, like cats.
"It's Like This, Cat" is mainly abuot a fourteen year-old boy who gets a cat from this cat lady. He names it Cat. They have diferent adventures. They went to the beach and made some new friends. They went in the woods where they found salamanders and Cat killed one. Another adventure had a tragedy. Cat was trapped in a cellar, but you'll have to read the book to see what will happen to Cat!
What I would have changed in the book was a part about a kitten. There was a sad part that happened to the little, adventurous orange kitten that made me feel sorry for it.
This book had many enjoyable times and always had my attention. There were also some sad moments, but those moments made me care about the characters even more. This is is a wonderful book and I recommend it to you!
