A suitcase, a picture of his mother, and posters of a Depression era band. That's all this 10-year old has on his journey to find his long lost father. The year is 1936, and Bud Caldwell is left orphaned by the passing of his mother.
In "Bud, Not Buddy", author Christopher Paul Curtis keeps readers' eyes glued to the pages from beginning to end by making surprising and exciting twists and turns. This story takes place in Flint, Michigan during the Great Depression.
"Bud, Not Buddy deserves a 10 out of 10 for all the action and suspense throughout the entire book. Christopher Paul Curtis put his best work into "Bud, Not Buddy". Anyone who reads will love "Bud, Not Buddy.
