Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson is an overall good book. It'a realistic fiction book for children from eight to twelve years old. If you are any younger the end lowers the appeal and could cause depression.Although it's not action packed enough for most teenagers.It wouldn't be right to rate it any higher because the death of someone at the end of the book ruins it for sveral people.
The theme is basicly friendship so the story revolves around Jesse and Leslie. Here's in my opinion one of the most climatic points inthe book.
"But they all had their heads down except May Belle whose eyes were wide with terror"No...It's a lie...ain't dead"
With intriguing illustrations and an overall well written story,Bridge to Terabithia might be a extroidinary book for you. It's just as good as the movie, but with additional details. If you want more info you can check it out at your local library.
