Cody writes the following about When Zachary Beaver Came to Town :
In When Zachary Beaver Came to Town it started off boring- then it gets better after a while. The best part was the ending but I can't tell you a whole lot about it because you have to read it for your self. The main character is Zachary Beaver I will only tell you that he weighs more then average. Another main character is Toby he kind of tells the story. This book won the national book award and more. I like when and where the story took place. It was during the Vietnam War and that made it more interesting. Also the people were pretty cool and funny. This book had its up and downs but it was still pretty good. They had a southern speech to there voice and that was another thing I liked. I like I would recommend this book for a class to read, but I probably wouldn't read it for fun.
