I think Crispin the Cross of Lead was a good book for kids between the ages of ten and twelve. I would give the book an 8.5 out of 10 because it had a great setting and great characters, but I would change the very end to make it more exciting.
Crispin the Cross of Lead is a historical fiction novel about a boy named Crispin who loses both his parents, then runs away after being accused of stealing. After running away Crispin finds a guy named Bear, who teaches Crispin to sing and play music. The two traveled to a big city and find the person Crispin was accused of stealing from. To find out how the book ends, you should read it.
