Dennis S writes the following about Bridge to Terabithia :
I like the book because when you are done reading a chapter it gives you a surprise on what will happen next. It makes you wonder what will happen next to Jess and Leslie. When Leslie died it surprised me because she was the one with the magic. I thought it was Jess's fault that Leslie had died.

The theme is if you use your imagination you can accomplish many things. You can escape the real world and go to a place you enjoy. You can read to go to different places because reading takes you anywhere. The setting is in Terabithia, Jess's house, and many more interesting places.
