mooloo1232 writes the following about CrissCross :
The main characters in the book, “Criss Cross,” are Hector, Rowanne, Tesey, Lenny, Patty, Chrysene, Phil, Rick, and Mary. The antagonist in this story is all of the main characters because the story is about ordinary teens that argue and make up. These characters are also the protagonists because of the amount of fighting that happens. The story takes place in California during the summer and is the present time. “Criss Cross” talks about how teens have challenges and how they solve them. One example is Lenny. She has many challenges, but an important one is how to get along with a mother who sometimes yells at her. She also has a lifestyle that Lenny doesn’t like. Lenny also deals with friendships and how she has to work at them, like others in the book. You will be amazed how this book speaks for you. When I read it, it had a lot of stuff in it that’s happened to me. This book includes some cursing, so here’s a warning for young readers. I would give this book a rating of 9 because of the message it provides. “Criss Cross” is great for teens that have friends that fight and get angry because it will help them to keep friendships by working through problems. This book will also help teens to understand that challenges happen to everyone. If I could change anything about the book it would be the character’s attitudes. Sometimes they are too negative.
