ali17 writes the following about Among the Hidden :
The book I read was called Among the Hidden. It was written by Margaret Haddix and is 153 pages long. It is a fiction book. Among the Hidden is about a boy named Luke Garner who is a third child, and where he lives its illegal to have more than two children. Luke has to stay in the house all day long and can’t even be near a window so the population police wont find him. The punishment for being a third child is death. Luke never thought he would get to see anyone other than his Mom, Dad, and two brothers until the day he met Jen, another third child. Luke and Jen had a lot of good times together. One day, Jen told Luke about her idea of a rally to set all of the third children free. Luke wasn’t sure about her plan and had a really bad feeling that it wasn’t going to go well. I gave this book the rating of a 10 because it made me want to read it more and more and also because I just thought that it was one of the best books I have ever read. One thing I would change about this book would be putting a little more action in it such as when the population police were around.
