Travel Team is a 274-page book. It is fiction. The main character is Danny. He loves to play basketball and usually makes the team. USUALLY. One year he didn’t make the team. He didn’t know why. He always did. He found out the reason he didn’t was because the coach wanted bigger kids this year. And Danny is pretty small. He couldn’t believe it. He was one of the best players in Middletown. Ty is one of the best players too and his dad was the coach of the team. He didn’t understand either. When Danny’s dad came to visit he decided to stay for a while. His dad was the legendary Richie Walker. One of Middletown’s best players ever until he had gotten into a car accident and ended his career. Richie decided to start another travel team for Danny. They started off thinking they won’t win a single game. They finally won. They won 3 in a row and made it to the playoffs. But Danny’s dad had gotten into a car accident again. It was up to Danny to coach the team. The good news now is they have Ty. Will they be able to win the championships without Richie being their coach? I would rate this book a 10 because it’s very interesting and when you read it you always want to read more. If I could change anything in the book I wouldn’t really change anything. It is a really good book if you like sports, which I do.
