Massie Block is a little bored with her life. Being expelled was worse than she thought. She and the Pretty Committee-which consists of Massie, Alicia, Dylan, Kristen and Claire-have probably gone to the spa 1 million times, and gone to Starbucks twice a day. Then something comes along their way they didn’t exactly expect, they get a chance to star in the next big movie, Dial L for Loser. Unfortunately, only Claire, Massie and Alicia get to try out, while Kristen is stuck reading books on philosophy, and Dylan’s trying a new bran diet. Massie’s so sure she’s going to get the part, she acts really confident. Maybe a little too confident. Rupert Mann, the director, calls her “too confident” and Alicia “too pretty”. What will Massie do when Claire gets the starring role? What will Claire do when Cam sees her with a Hollywood star? Maybe fame and fortune isn’t all what it cut out to be.
I gave this book a 10 because it really kept you hooked. The whole story was a hook, and you didn’t want to stop reading. You wanted to find out what happens with Cam and Claire, and how Massie is going to cope with not being the center of attention. It led me to read the next book in the series, because it was such a good book, so I wanted to see if the next one was good, and it was just as good. One thing I would have changed about the book would be to spend more time on the making of the movie, because the time spent on it was really short, and everything else in the book was longer.
