MEGAAAN ! writes the following about Revenge of the Wannabes :
Revenge of the Wannabes is a 296 page realistic fiction book by Lisi Harrison. It’s the 2nd book in the Clique series. This book is about 5 friends, Massie, Claire, Kristen, Dylan and Alicia who all grew up aside from Clarie, with a wallet full of there parents credit cards. They’re in the 7th grade at Octavian Country Day School, or OCD for short and they make up the “pretty committee” as they like to call themselves. When Alicia decides she’s going to try to have her own Friday night sleepover, she’s in trouble. EVERYBODY knows that Massie owns Friday nights like MTV owns the 10 spot. When Massie finds out what she’s planning Alicia is kicked out of the clique and is forced to create her own with her friend Olivia. They try to find Kristen and Dylan knock offs and compete with Massie’s clique. Alicia finds it to much for her to handle, but would never admit that to Massie. Whiles she’s secretly wishing she would have stayed as Massies “beta”. In this book you will follow both Alicia and Massie through all the drama! I would give this book an 8 out of 10, because even though it wasn’t exactly realistic it really kept me interested. I think that because all the girls lived a almost perfect life it almost seemed fake, but then again it was like the kind of life any girl would like to live. All the girls shopped for designer clothes whenever they wanted and went to a school where there parents bought them nose jobs for there birthday. If I could change anything about this book it would be that the author make it a little bit more realistic, because even though those kinds of things are fun to read about they’re kind of hard to relate to. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would like to read the rest of the series.
