sw13 writes the following about the invention hugo cabret :
I really enjoyed this book. The Invention of Hugo Cabret is about a boy who lives in a train station with his dad. His dad dies in a fire at the museum where he works and fixes clocks. His uncle takes him over but then dies too. Hugo is on his own living in a train station. He gets caught stealing toy parts at a toy both and meets a girl. Isabella’s Godfather owns the toy both. Hugo’s dad made him a journal the old man took from him. Isabella helps him get it back. When walking by the burned down museum, Hugo see’s the Automaton that his dad had been working on before his death. Hugo takes it back to the train station and works on it. There is a key to start the Automaton. Isabella has the key and Hugo has to steal it from her. He reveals the message from his dad that is only a picture. I rate this book a 9 because a never new if he was going to fix it or get the note book back. The main characters are Hugo, and Isabella. I would change how the dad dies because it says that they forgot about him at the museum and locked him in the attic where the fire happened. Other wise this book was very good.
