I <3 PINK writes the following about Night Hoops :
Night Hoops By: Carl Deuker
Number of pages:250, Do you enjoy basketball?
Night Hoops would be a great book for you to look into for a realistic fiction story. The main characters in this story seem so real when you are reading. Nick Abbott is a good basketball player but not as good as Trent Dawson. Nick reminds me of my little brother because he can improve on his game, but he's a pretty good player. He's very friendly and conscientious about other people's feelings. He notices something about Trent Dawson, one of his basketball components, and as he gets to know him he realizes that just being a nice friendly person can change someone's life. On the other hand, nothing is right in Trent Dawson's life. Everything goes wrong and his life at home is unfair. The two become friends and see the inner part of one another. It is an inspirational story. I like the way the story is written although it could have left you on the edge a little more. I rate this book as a 10 because its a really good book and I would defiantly recommend it to people who like basketball and are interested in the hard times of other people's life.
