fuzzysocks writes the following about Joey Pigza Loses Control :
The book I read was Joey Pigza Loses Control By: Jack Gantos. This book has 196 pages full of interesting and hilarious text. The Genre is realistic fiction because its storyline could happen in real life. This book is about a boy named Joey Pigza and how his dad, Carter Pigza, left him and his mom when Joey was a child. His dad now wants custody of Joey and so his mom lets him go to his dads for a portion of the summer. While Joey is away he is having a great time. Joey's Grandma also lives with Carter. Carter asks Joey to join his team and guess what? He is so excited to and says YES.I would rate this book an 8 out of 10 because it has an excellent story line, a mother that has a boy with ADHD that goes to live with his father for the first time. I would change the part of the book where his mom comes to pick him up because I think they should have taken the Grandma.
