the book is basically about a kid named Mitty Blake trying to find something to do his biology paper so he can get a passing grade so he can stay in the same class as the girl that he likes. Mitty finds some 100 year old smallpox scabs and eventually gets captured by a group of bioterrorists hoping to start a smallpox epidemic across the United States.
