Harrison Hood writes the following about Flags of our Fathers :
This story is a great way of telling the story of the six flag raisers of Iwo Jima. This story sstarts by telling what happened on the island of Iwo Jima and how the flag was raised then it starts to go into one of the flag raisers son wondering why his dad doesn't talk about his glourious moment. When the dad dies the son finds a box of pictures and looks through them. When he is done looking at them he becomes more curious and starts to wonder why his dad never talked about the flag raisning. Then he dicieds to go to the families of the other five flag raisers to find out why his dad never talked about it.When he founds out he tells it through the rest of the story about what had happened.
