Ian writes the following about Rescuing Sprite :
"Rescuing Sprite," will most likely go down as one of my all time favorite books. Not because it has catchy words or neat pictures, but because it truly touched me in a way i doubt any other book can. It's simply about the love, pride, and anguish people can experience through their relationships with their dogs. The author of "Rescuing Sprite," Mark Levin, told me of his heartbreaking experience of his dog Spritey, who he gave all his love and affection to even though he only cared for the dog for 3 years. He tells us how he came to rescuing Sprite from a dog shelter and then caring for him in his home as if he had him from birth. As Mark Levin informed, Sprite was a kind, courteous, and cheerful dog. He merely loved the thought of being alive for another day. He would do anything and everything for his owner and caretaker, Mark Levin. When Mark found Sprite at that dog shelter one lonesome day , from the moment he laid eyes on him he knew that dog would be his, but it was only a matter of time before Mark would have to death with the loss of Sprite due to numerous medical complications. Overall if you are a true dog lover or if you just love being around dogs, or even if you have love a beloved dog recently this is the book for you. It touched my heart and I know it will touch yours.
