Kayla D writes the following about Rules :
RULES I ABSOLUTELY love Rules because I have always loved reading and helping “special” kids! I have been around “special” kids my whole life! My aunt is a special E.D teacher, and she got me very very interested in these types of kids. I also love this book because it tells you how to act around these types of kids. These kinds of kids aren’t bad or stupid; they just learn a different way. In the book rules there is a kid named Ryan, and Ryan calls David, Catherine’s brother stupid and takes his umbrella. But David is not stupid he just learns a different way. Later on in the story Catherine’s family gets a new neighbor!! Catherine and her family are having a cook out and her mom tells Catherine to go over and invite them over. So she goes over! When she goes over David has a tantrum over a bee and Catherine gets embarrassed! But when you’re with a person like David you can not get embarrassed because they may have a fit anytime if any day and anywhere! And eventually you learn not to get embarrassed. This book is EXREAMLY and interesting to read. If you like to read books about “special” kids and how to act around them read this book!
