Hope P. writes the following about Sarah, Plain and Tall :
Sarah Plain and Tall
By: Patricia MacLachlan

Sarah Plain and tall is a story about a man and his two children. After their mother dies the father sets out to find a wife. A woman named Sarah applies to be his wife and goes to live with the family on the farm. At the end of the month she will choose if she wants to marry the father or not. Sarah Plain and Tall is a terrible book. I felt like the story had no meaning and kept on going and going. When I read this book I knew what was going to come next, and there were never any cliff hangers. On a lot of books I want to read more, but on this book I never wanted to keep on reading. This book was boring and uninteresting. I just hated it. Reading the book felt like a waste of time. I was HAPPY when I was done reading this book. I give this book at 3, because it was boring and uninteresting, and I give the cover at 4, because it didn’t show what the book was like. When I saw the cover I though it was about a mom braiding her child’s hair.
