Elise writes the following about Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes :
Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes is about this girl named Sadako in 1943 in Hiroshima,Japan. She had a mother and father and one sister and two brothers,Masohiro,Mitzue, and Eiijah.Sadako also had a friend named Chizuko who told her if you folded 1,ooo paper cranes you would hae good luck. But unfortunatly,Sadako Sasaki died on October 25,1955 with the atom bomb disease,Leukemia at the age of 12. The strenths in this book were that the author used a lot of desription on how Sadako died, about the atom bomb, and Memorial Day in Japan.I have to say there are no weaknesses in this book because the author desribed where, when, how, and why so there is absolutly no weaknesses. I reccomend this book to all readers who enjoy historic books and lovers of Japan.Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes is a very good story and it tells you about how this could have happened to other people who lived in the 1940's-1950's.I hope everybody who reads this book, reccomend it to other readers too.
