Banana Skin writes the following about Street Child :
Street Child

This book is about an orphan called Jim Jarvis and his physical and emotional journey through his childhood. It is set in the harsh streets of London in the 1860s.

The best parts of the book are when the plot twists and something really unexpected happens, such as when Jim killed Grimy Nick and runs away to joins the circus. He's thinks he'll never go back to the Wharf, until Grimy Nick comes running up to him and catching him again...

There's nothing I don't like.

I think this book should be sold for £4-£5 because even though it dates back a 100 years ago, it's not very long.

I found this book very interesting because everything is described so fully, and when you're reading it you feel as though you are transported back into London. I would recommend it to anyone!

I cannot comment on the illustrations, as there were none in my book.
