sk writes the following about Out of the Dust (Newbery Medal Book) :
The book Out of the Dust is gerat I loved it. There was a girl named Billie Jo. Billie Jo feels tremendous guilt because she thinks she killed her mother. She runs away on a train but then goes back. Now only she and her father are alive from her family. First, they don't speak to each other but later they do. While she was running away her father met a womanand they became friends when Billie Jo comes back she thinks they will marry. This happend in Oklahoma at the time of the dust bowl.

I think the auther did a very good job writting this story. But she did not all the charecters very good. I like how she discribes the dust storms. But she didn't discribe Billie Jo's little brother that died much.

I reccomend this book to others. I do that because the bookis very interesting. And makes you think about how people lived before.
