adam writes the following about Out of the Dust (Newbery Medal Book) :
Out of the Dust is a good book. The seting is at this old farm in 1934 and 1935 during the dust bowl. There are a bunch of characters.Like the Ma,father, and billie jo and alot more people. The father is trying to grow wheat. And it will not grow but he will not give up on it.Her Ma dies and her dad will not talk to billie jo anymore. And sometime later they start talking. Her father meets a laddie named Louise and they live happily ever after.
The srenghs and weekneses are good.It has alot of strenghs not alot of weekneses. The only weekneses are when somebody is hurt. The strenghs are when people sound happy and troubled. It makes you so curious about the book. Those are the strengths and weaknesses.
I recommend this book a little. I don't recommend it in a way because it has so many people getting hurt and dying! I don't like historical fiction, but overall it was a good book.
