Jordan writes the following about Out of the Dust (Newbery Medal Book) :
Out of the Dust is a very instering book. It takes place in Oalahoma from 1934-1935. Out of the Dust is a book about a young girl named Bille Jo. She gets bad burns and loses her mother and baby brother who also got burned. Billie Jo and her father do not talk much after her mother and brother decends. To make matters worse hendrous dust storms come her pa gets cancer and Billie Jo's hands are scared.
I love the way Out of the Dust is written in poetry format. In some poems you can see a picture by the way they are written. She didn't describe some of the charters as much as wish she would have.I also wish she would have went into more detail.
I strongly recomend this book to readers aof all ages. I think you will love it very much. You cannot put it down once you pick it up.
